We are seeking a Business Development Director to spearhead commercial efforts in the drug discovery industry, identifying and securing new business opportunities while nurturing existing client relationships. This role offers you the chance to work at the forefront of innovative chemical solutions, shaping the company’s strategy and presence in North America.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and execute a growth strategy, driving new business and expanding client relationships in the specialty chemicals, advanced materials, and custom formulations sectors.
  • Build strong connections with key decision-makers in industries such as pharmaceuticals, biopharma, industrial chemistry, and high-performance materials.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to deliver customized, innovative chemistry solutions that meet clients' specific needs.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from identifying opportunities to negotiating contracts and managing long-term partnerships.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, networking events, and client meetings, enhancing visibility and reputation.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 5+ years of business development experience in the drug discovery industry, with a proven track record of success in B2B sales.
  • Strong technical background in chemistry (e.g., organic chemistry, materials science, polymer science, or a related field).
  • Experience selling custom solutions and complex services, with the ability to translate technical concepts into compelling business opportunities.
  • A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed across the U.S.
